Foo Jeng is a Malaysian composer and pianist.
He is a recipient of the New Chamber Ballet Commission, winner of the El Paso Original Music/New Ideas Competition, and a finalist of the American Prize in Composition.
His highlights include collaborations with or performances at: The DiMenna Center, ArtsBasel, Richard Koh Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Center, Ilham Gallery, Malaysian Jazz Piano Festival, Mark Morris Dance Center, and Tenri Cultural Institute.
Foo Jeng is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music with a Masters of Music in Composition under the direction of Reiko Fueting and Lewis Nielson. He previously earned his Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance from Berklee College of Music.
As a teacher, Foo Jeng has taught piano and composition to students privately and at schools in Boston and New York. Foo Jeng hopes to inspire students through teaching them songs that they are interested in learning and develop skills that are applicable to all parts of life.
