Zach is a freelance oboist and woodwind doubler based in Astoria, NY. His most recent
performances included a captivating tour of Long Island as part of the 2023 Graduate
Wind Quintet.

Currently attending the graduate performance program at Stony Brook University, Zach is
pursuing his Masters of Music under the guidance of the esteemed James Austin Smith.
Originating from the Southwest, Zach earned his Bachelor of Music from the University of
Arizona. There he gained valuable experience teaching a multitude of woodwinds with
students of all ages and skill levels.

As a first-generation musician, Zach deeply values the transformative power of music
and its ability to bring purpose and reflection to one's life. In his free time, he enjoys
listening to podcasts, crafting oboe reeds, and exploring new places.
