Sunjay (he/him) is a musician from South Carolina. He’s grateful for the chance to play a variety of music with groups such as American Composer’s Orchestra, 8-Bit Big Band, Westside Chamber players, and P'an, a collective playing global traditional music with bassist Jack Beal, guitarist Fang-Shu Li, and percussionist Per-Niklas Barth. He has been lucky enough to work with musicians and directors such as Ted Sperling, Bobby Sanabria, David Bloom, and others.

Sunjay believes that performing and teaching are equally important parts of the musical experience. He believes that students can learn the fundamentals of playing an instrument while still playing the music they enjoy.

In addition, Sunjay plays viola with the Sirius Quartet and also plays the violin and the oud. He received an undergraduate degree in violin performance at NYU studying with Laura Hamilton, and is currently a graduate student at Mannes School of Music studying with Jennifer Koh. He enjoys improvising in various styles such as jazz, Carnatic music, hip-hop, and some others.
