From a young age, Andre was fascinated by Mozart, Chopin, and other classical composers, studying piano before eventually picking up woodwind instruments like the saxophone, flute, and clarinet. Andre then moved to Nevada to attend the University of Nevada, Reno. During his time there, he began performing frequently at jazz venues and teaching - often privately, and sometimes in the form of workshops for local schools.

After graduating from UNR with a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Performance, Andre relocated to Brooklyn, NY, where he currently resides. Quickly integrating into the music community here, he’s performed with artists such as Daniel Rosenboom and Adam Benjamin, and is an active member of experimental pop band Fievel is Glauque, playing at venues such as Brooklyn Steel, the Music Hall of Williamsburg, NuBlu, The Fillmore, and many others.

As a teacher, Andre strives to connect his students to the innate joy of playing music and to show them how to appreciate the learning process. His primary concerns are to structure lessons around music his students are passionate about, and to instill a sense of curiosity and discovery in music.
